From 5th of April till 3rd of May, you can visit Calouste Gulbenkian's garden, where inside a shipping container you can see a Brief History of Princess X by Gabriel Abrantes. The Show is called Cam in Motion, it is a cycle of videos curated by Patricia Rosas, starting on the 11th of January with Vasco Araújo followed by Ana Vidigal and Maria Lusitano and ending with Gabriel's work.

Today the European Film Awards announced the 5 candidates for Best Short Film of 2019. LES EXTRAORDINAIRES MÉSAVENTURES DE LA JEUNE FILLE DE PIERRE, directed by Gabriel Abrantes, is among the 5 nominated films which will soon be submitted to the more than 3,600 EFA Members to elect the winner. The European Short Film 2019 will then be presented at the 32nd European Film Awards Ceremony on Saturday, 7 December in Berlin.

After its premiere at the Quinzaine des Réalisateurs - Cannes and winning 3 awards at Curtas Vila do Conde, LES EXTRAORDINAIRES MÉSAVENTURES DE LA JEUNE FILLE DE PIERRE travelled to Iceland to the Reykjavik Film Festival and premiered in Tangier Short Film Festival. Today the film will be shown at BFI London Film Festival and in three days will be presented at the New York Film Festival.

The short film OS HUMORES ARTIFICIAIS / THE ARTIFICIAL HUMORS, by Gabriel Abrantes, has won the Grand Jury Prize of the National Competition at Córtex – Sintra Short Film Festival. The jury, composed by Beatriz Batarda, Cláudia Lucas Chéu and Sérgio Tréfaut, considered that “A film that desires to reach the grand public, through its provocative character and unusual humor, builds a surprising allegory on the various forms of communication between an indigenous girl and a robot.
The ceremony took place on April 15 at 4:00 pm at the Olga Cadaval Cultural Center, in Sintra, Portugal.
